Arquebio SL (AQB) is a biotechnological company based in Barcelona area founded in 2007. The company currently has 3 business lines: 1. Respiratory DEPT (Respiratory directed enzyme-prodrug therapy): It is a new therapy based on enzyme inhalation intended to support local lung therapies. A patent application has been issued based on proof of concept results. Two applications are under development & several others applications are under study. 2. Extremophiles products for cosmetic use: A patent application has been issued for a first product and other products are under development. 3. Functional peptides for cosmetic use: AQB has developed a proprietary cost-effective production process to obtain long peptides for cosmetic use. AQB is currently evaluating the activity of several peptides produced by this technique. ARQUEBIO business lines are based on industrial bioprocessing technologies use and preclinical development. The company is setting up a network of companies to co-develop and commercialize products from these lines.
